Mindfulness in yoga and in life

As a personal challenge to be more aware of all of my blessings in life, I am writing a post about one of those blessings every day for the 30 days prior to Thanksgiving. Some will be serious. Some will be silly. But they will all mean something to me personally. I invite you to join in, in the comments, in your own writing space, or simply in your head. So often we take for granted how much we have to be thankful for. It’s good to stop, reflect, and remember.

A little bit of levity today…

Today I am grateful for my joggers. One of my friends mentioned that she practically lives in hers. I was slightly skeptical, but I purchased a pair.

Today is the first day I’ve worn them. It was the perfect day for them.

Yesterday was 75 and gorgeous here in Oklahoma.

This morning when I woke up, it was 33 and falling. I believe the low for tonight is 10. These numbers are both a hard pass for me.

I’m teaching three classes today, so I’m pretty much just living in my yoga clothes.

Luckily I had my joggers, which I was able to put on over my yoga leggings. After class, I wore them to Starbucks. I like that they’re more substantial than yoga leggings, so I feel less awkward running errands in them. Plus I’m warm and comfortable.

I’m actually planning on asking for another pair for Christmas.

It’s the little things.

What are you thankful for today?

It IS the little things, especially when there is howling winds and cold temp! What kind of joggers do you have?

    1. My joggers are Amazon Brand–Daily Ritual. They were $23. I think I’m living in them now.
